🌿Bees are vital for our ecosystems, our food, and our future – and they need our help more than ever. On World Bee Day, we celebrate these small but mighty animals and remind ourselves of the role everyone can play in protecting them – including seniors.
Through the Ageingreen project, we empower older adults to take climate and nature protection into their own hands. Senior citizens can support bee populations in many meaningful ways:
🌸 Growing native flowers and plants on balconies or in gardens
🚫 Avoiding pesticides and chemical fertilizers
🏡 Building bee hotels or leaving wild corners in gardens
📚 Educating others and sharing traditional knowledge about nature
Protecting bees is a simple but powerful action that brings generations together – and seniors are showing us how it’s done.
