Voices of the Future: Cyprus Debate Nationals
On the 15th of March 2026, CitizensACT held the National Debate Competition of Cyprus, bringing together teams from Λύκειο Λατσιών , Οικολογικά Σχολεία – Γυμνάσιο-Λύκειο ΟΛΥΜΠΙΟΝ, and Ιδιωτική Σχολή Φόρουμ – Forum Private School
As part of the Speak UP Project., which promotes active citizenship through debate, and under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 , the event featured exciting rounds where students tested arguments, challenged ideas, and strengthened their public speaking and critical thinking skills.
From Latsia Lyceum, the participating teams were Rambo, Pilots, and The Big Three.
From Olympion School, the participating team competed under the name of the school.
From The Forum Private School, the participating teams were Forum 1 and Forum 2.
In a compelling grand final between Olympion and The Big Three, it was The Big Three who claimed the national title with their sharp reasoning and confident delivery.

Voices of the Future: Cyprus Debate Nationals
Στις 15 Μαρτίου 2026, το CitizensACT διοργάνωσε τον Εθνικό Διαγωνισμό Debate της Κύπρου, συγκεντρώνοντας ομάδες από το Λύκειο Λατσιών, το Olympion School και το The Forum Private School.
Στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος SpeakUP, το οποίο προωθεί την ενεργό συμμετοχή των πολιτών μέσω του debate, και υπό την αιγίδα της Κυπριακής Προεδρίας του Συμβουλίου της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, η εκδήλωση περιλάμβανε συναρπαστικούς γύρους όπου οι μαθητές δοκίμασαν τα επιχειρήματά τους, αντάλλαξαν ιδέες και ενίσχυσαν τις δεξιότητές τους στη δημόσια ομιλία και την κριτική σκέψη.
Από το Λύκειο Λατσιών, οι συμμετέχουσες ομάδες ήταν οι Rambo, Pilots και The Big Three.
Από το Olympion School, η συμμετέχουσα ομάδα διαγωνίστηκε με το όνομα του σχολείου.
Από το The Forum Private School, οι συμμετέχουσες ομάδες ήταν οι Forum 1 και Forum 2.
Σε έναν συναρπαστικό μεγάλο τελικό μεταξύ του Olympion και των The Big Three, οι The Big Three κατέκτησαν τον εθνικό τίτλο με την επιχειρηματολογία και την αυτοπεποίθησή τους.
Συγχαρητήρια σε όλες τις συμμετέχουσες ομάδες για την αφοσίωση, την ενέργεια και το πνεύμα τους! Οι φωνές σας είναι το μέλλον της συμμετοχής των πολιτών και ανυπομονούμε να δούμε τα επόμενα βήματά σας.
