From the 5th to the 9th of March, CitizensACT participated in the Kick Off Meeting of the Erasmus+ Project ‘The Missing Peace’, accompanied by three days of study visits aimed at exploring the definition of conflict and peacebuilding.

‘The Missing Peace’ is an Erasmus+ Project in the Youth Sector that seeks to enhance the participation of young people, with a particular focus on young women, in peace and reconciliation processes. This is achieved through long-term capacity building of youth workers and organizations involved in peace and reconciliation and non-formal education. The project aims to improve their approaches to driving youth engagement in communities and decision-making processes.

During the Kick Off Meeting, the consortium and the study visit participants discussed innovative approaches to promote peace and understanding among the youth, exploring ways to bridge gaps and foster collaboration. Responsibilities and the next steps were also discussed in the partnership.

We would like to express our gratitude to the coordinator and host of this Kick Off Meeting, Glencree Centre for Peace & Reconciliation, as well as the other partners, including TEIS Foundation, Culture Goes Europe – CGE, Varėnos kultūros centras, and European Cultural Epicenter, Bitola, for their exceptional collaboration!
