BESTRONG: Upgrading youth work practices for building resilient and inclusive societies through a psycho-social approach
The BESTRONG project helps youth workers support young people from war, conflict, or high-risk areas as they start new lives in their host countries. It gives youth workers useful skills and tools to deal with mental health issues like stress, anxiety, and fear, while also encouraging local youth to understand and empathise with migrant youth. The project also promotes modern, high-quality youth work using digital tools, including a fun and educational game called the MINDSCAPE ROOM.
To reach these goals, BESTRONG will create: a training kit with creative methods like storytelling, an interactive EU map with good practices, QR code brochures on mental health, a virtual game to support mental well-being, an online learning portal with all the materials, and a community programme to connect youth workers and young people through mentoring and peer support.
